Gifu Collection of Modern Art (hereafter referred to as "GICOMA") ensures that all visitors can confidently use various services by handling personal information based on the following:

  GICOMA strives to ensure accuracy and keep the latest information regarding personal information entrusted to us. We implement appropriate management and storage to prevent unauthorized access, tampering, and leakage by third parties. Additionally, we conduct regular education on personal information protection for our employees to maintain and strengthen our management system.

  GICOMA collects personal information through legal and fair means. You may be asked to provide personal information such as name, address, phone number, age, date of birth, gender, email address, and other information when participating in surveys, events, campaigns, purchasing museum goods, or using various services through our museum, website, or inquiry counter.

• Purpose of Use

  Your personal information will be used to safely and accurately advance our relationship and promote better art promotion activities. Specifically, it will be used for:

  • Surveys aimed at art promotion through our museum, website, and inquiry counter.

  Your personal information will be appropriately stored and managed for a period deemed necessary by the Foundation and safely deleted after the period ends.

  In handling your personal information, we comply with the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" and other applicable Japanese laws, continuously review our practices, and strive for improvement and enhancement.

At the Gifu Collection of Modern Arts (“Gi-Co-Ma”), we utilize a social media platform (“the platform”) as a communication tool, and have in place a social media policy (“the policy”) for its use. Please review and understand the following before using the platform.

  Posts to the platform are submitted by Gi-Co-Ma

• 1. Purpose

  We use the platform to attract visitors by sharing information about exhibitions, events, visitor guides, and other content, and for the purpose of increasing interest in both Gi-Co-Ma and art in general.

• 2. Information shared

  Gi-Co-Ma’s exhibitions, events, visitor guides, and other content.

• 3. Following other accounts and replying to, reposting, and sharing posts

  As a general rule, Gi-Co-Ma will not reply to opinions or questions, or follow other accounts. However, we may follow other accounts or repost and/or share information about affiliated institutes and news media.

• 4. Suspending or deleting [our account]

  Gi-Co-Ma may decide to suspend our account or delete all or part of our account content (e.g., previous post) without prior notice to users. Examples include situations in which providing information on the platform becomes difficult.

• 5. Intellectual property rights

  All intellectual property rights associated with the content (e.g., texts, images) posted on the platform belong to Gi-Co-Ma or the original copyright holder. Reproducing or reprinting the content without permission is prohibited, except for private-use reproduction, citation, or other cases permitted under the Copyright Act.

• 6. The following are prohibited on this platform

  We may delete posts, block accounts, or take other action without prior notice when users engage in acts such as the following.

  1. Violation or potential violation of public order and morals
  2. Infringement of intellectual property rights (e.g., copyright, trademark rights), portrait rights, and privacy
  3. Use or reproduction of information provided by Gi-Co-Ma beyond the scope of purposes for personal use
  4. Defamation, or the posting of baseless information
  5. Preelection campaigning, election campaigning, or similar content
  6. Solicitation of members by religious or other groups and organizations
  7. Use of the Gi-Co-Ma platform for commercial purposes
  8. Acts that cause inconvenience, detriment, or damage, or that Gi-Co-Ma deems as having such potential
  9. Content that leads to or potentially leads to illegal or criminal actions
  10. Obvious pranks or posting of nonsensical content (e.g., empty posts, posts containing random strings of characters, repetitive posts of the same content)
  11. Threats of suicide or murder
  12. Content intended for meeting people, or obscene content (excluding expressions of affection or childish language)
  13. Postings containing harmful programs, scripts, and other content
  14. Impersonation
  15. Use of the platform to transmit viruses and other harmful programs, files, and other data that disrupt the proper functioning of computer software and hardware, to Gi-Co-Ma, other users, and third parties
  16. Other acts deemed inappropriate by Gi-Co-Ma, such as disrupting the management and administration of the platform

• 7.Disclaimer

  Gi-Co-Ma makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of information posted on the account, but does not accept responsibility for damage and loss incurred in relation to it.

• 8.Other

  Gi-Co-Ma may modify the content of the policy without the consent of platform users. In such cases, the modified policy takes effect immediately upon its publication as posted on our website or through other means. Platform users will be subject to the modified policy thereafter.

• Suspending or deleting the account

  The account will be suspended or deleted if providing information becomes difficult due to unavoidable reasons.
